To all you washington birders this is a canadian bird, but it seemed unusual to me anyway. I am visiting Seattle from St. Louis and we took a day trip today to Vancouver BC today. At Stanley Park there was an immature GLAUCOUS GULL hanging out with about ten Glaucous-winged Gulls, mostly immatures. The bird was at the end of a rocky area at third beach on the western side of the park. Being from St. Louis I do not know much about the status of this bird in this area this time of year but based on field guides it seemed like a strange time of year. I am not a member of the vancouver listserve so if any of you are could you please post this so others can go see it. If anyone has any questions e-mail me. Thanks.
