I made a quick birding trip through the lower Yakima Valley today
from Sunnyside, to Granger, to Toppenish National Wildlife Refuge, to
Ft. Simcoe.

It started out hot and only got hotter as it reached 95º by 10:30
AM. Birds seemed to want to stay hunkered in the shade and I don't
blame them.
