Subject: Great New Website

"Avibase, the World Bird Database" was just unveiled and it looks to be a
fantastic source for anyone who is interested in global bird distribution.
The site has apparently been a "work in progress for 12 years" and is hosted
by Bird Studies Canada (the Canadian equivalent of Birdlife International).

I looked up the Washington Checklist which is quite good although there are
certainly errors and omissions. This is completely understandable
considering the scope of the project. Denis Lepage, who designed and
maintains the site asks that we report any oversights.

The "Bird Links to the World" section is amazing!
