While having a cup of coffee and doing my Project Feederwatch observations
this morning I was pleased to see my first Rufous Hummingbird of the season,
a beautiful adult male. I have had as many as three Anna's in my yard all
winter, so there are two feeders kept filled all the time. The Rufous was at
the one on my dining room window (suction cup)...pretty hard to miss even on
this cloudy day.

Welcome harbinger of spring!
