I was able to take a few short trips over the weekend. The following
highlights were observed.

3/1

Wanapum Dam:

The Yellow-billed Loon persists in the tailrace
A Say's Phoebe was perched in the tree just below the visitors center

Potholes State Park:

An immature Cooper's Hawk being mobbed by a group of magpies. The magpies
definitely kept their distance too.

A single Red-necked Grebe worked around the boat launch.

Lind Coulee:

Three American Tree Sparrows responded well to pishing and offered good
views.

Penn Plaza Overview (Moses Lake):

A large group of Dunlin (67) foraged on the mud bar

3/2

Road 6 SE WDFW Public Access (south of Moses Lake):

Greater White-fronted Goose - 4 in a large group of feeding Canada Geese.

Two Short-eared Owls were roosting low in the Russian Olives
