On 28 Feb, Mike and MerryLynn Denny again saw the ad LESSER BLACK-BACKED
GULL on the Walla Walla River Delta in western Walla Walla Co WA. They
indicate the best time to find the bird is between 4 and 6 pm. Also on the
delta were 100+ DUNLIN, a MEW GULL, and another 2500+ gulls. The delta can
be accessed 0.1 mile north of Madame Dorian Park. There's a pull-out along
US 12 at milepost 306.9 and a path to the delta. WA DeLorme 40, D-1.

On the Columbia River at Wanapum Dam south of Vantage, Kittitas Co WA the
YELLOW-BILLED LOON is still persisting below the dam, as it has all winter.
Doug Schonewald saw the bird on 1 Mar. Wanapum Dam is about 5 miles south of
Vantage on the Columbia River. WA DeLorme 52, A-1.

The ad WESTERN GULL is still persisting in the Lewiston ID / Clarkston WA
area. It was seen by Carole Vande Voorde and the Canyon Birders on 1 Mar at
the Clarkston landfill, along with a second winter GLAUCOUS GULL. ID DeLorme
54, A-1.

In the Bridgeport area of Douglas Co WA on 25 Feb, Dave Beaudette reports
seeing the SWAMP SPARROW reported 23 Feb by the Sullivans. From WA 173
milepost 7.7, turn onto Grange Road and follow it 1.4 miles to the sharp
bend. At the wildlife area access here are 2 small ponds. The SWAMP SPARROW
at the pond closest to the lake. Also here were 4 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS. WA
DeLorme 100, D-3.

A male EURASIAN WIGEON was in Bonner Co ID on 23 Feb according to Lisa
Hardy. It was in a protected inlet on the east side of Oden Bay, next to
Sunnyside Road. Sunnyside Road is east of Sandpoint. Sunnside heads south
off ID 200 at milepost 35, a couple miles east of the jct of US 95 and ID
200. ID DeLorme 62, BC-3 and A Birders's Guide to Idaho p. 34.

A single PACIFIC LOON was on the Columbia River in Douglas Co WA on 25 Feb
according to Dave Beaudette. Dave saw the bird along US 97 at milepost 228.

A PRAIRIE FALCON is persisting south of the Genesee sewage ponds on the Nez
Perce Co / Latah Co ID line. The ponds are just south of Genesee and just
east of US 95 along Cow Creek Road. Take Cow Creek Road east from US 95 at
milepost 329.8 about 0.25 mile to the pond. ID DeLorme 58, C-1.

The Othello Adams Co WA BLUE JAY that was reported often last fall is
apparently still present. Randy Hill reports it is been much more vocal in
the early morning hours. Look for it at the south end of the Sundance Loop,
south of Atkinson Road, east of WA 24, about 3 miles south of Othello. WA
