Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Featured bird is PACIFIC SLOPE FLYCATCHER

First, a note that this Thursday Night is Birders' Night at York House
School, which is located at 4176 Alexandra Street, Vancouver. David Hancock
will present "Lower Mainland Bald Eagles; A Retrospective Look".

Sightings for Monday, March 3rd

A singing PACIFIC SLOPE FLYCATCHER was in the 4800 block of Elkview Road in
Chilliwack.

Sunday, March 2nd

An adult ICELAND GULL and a first winter ICELAND GULL were both at the Delta
landfill on March 1st.

At Maplewood Conservation Area was the SPOTTED SANDPIPER.

At Lost Lagoon, on the south side, was an ELLIOTT'S LAUGHING THRUSH. This
Asian species is an escaped bird, but has been reported by numerous people
over the past few months.

> A GREAT HORNED OWL was near Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park. Also seen from

> A further 52 SURFBIRDS were off Kloochman Park in West Vancouver along

> a BLACK OYSTERCATCHER. Also at the park was an ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD.

Vancouver.
> Also here were a SPOTTED SANDPIPER and 3 RING-NECKED DUCKS.

> A TREE SWALLOW was at Serpentine Fen in Surrey. In a late report, an

> TREE SWALLOW was at Reifel Bird Sanctuary on February 23rd.

> The AMERICAN AVOCET was seen at Beach Grove in Tsawwassen. Nearby, at the
> entrance to Boundary Bay Regional Park, was an AMERICAN KESTREL.
