The report of a Great Egret at Ocean Shores is very interesting. We have a
few old records of these in Pacific County, but nothing in recent years: one
hunkered down in bad weather in the small marsh on US 101 by the Palix River
near Bay Center on 1/2/82, one at Leadbetter Point on 11/12/83. And we saw
what was probably the same bird again at Leadbetter on 1/2/84.
