Subject: question about dead eagle

Dear Tweeters,

On Monday my wife saw a fresh, dead immature Bald Eagle on a roadside near Hamilton. We went back a few hours later and it was gone. Does anyone know if a specimen was turned in to any of the local museums or rehab centers? It has really puzzled us, because we know that there are some whopping-big fines for possession of BAEA parts. I wondered if there were still an illegal trade in such--could someone have grabbed it in hopes of selling feathers to certain nefarious types?

Yours truly,

Gary Bletsch
