Hi, Tweets

Just a quick note. I was up at the Johnson/DeBay Swan Reserve today and
then down the Samish and Skagit Flats. Very blustery. Most ducks were in
the fields or puddles: green-winged teal, mallard, gadwall, and wigeon
mostly. Trumpeter swans at the reserve and surrounding fields, but not too
many; more down in the fields north of the SWA headquarters. Great blue
herons, redtails, and bald eagles everywhere and a few distant shorebirds
in the fields near North Fork. Several northern harriers hunting. Thousands
of snow geese across the highway from their refuge and right next to the
road - they put on a good show. There was other stuff, but this was a quick
trip. Nice day except for the wind blowing horizontally off-and-on.

Cheers, Diann
