Hello, Tweeters.

For the past month or so, I have been observing the three (sometimes four)
Varied Thrush - regulars in my back yard - eat from the scattered bird seed
that I put out for the sparrows, juncos, towhees, etc. Since I was under the
incorrect impression that they, the Varied Thrusy, ate only bugs, worms and
the like, I was intrigued to see them select corn and hull-less sunflower
seeds along with the other bird species and the squirrels, of course. So I
did a quick web search and discovered they also eat seeds and many types of
berries, usually in the fall. I suspect some of you all enjoy them as feeder
birds too, especially during winter...yes????

Peace and Happiness, Judy
