After battling the flu for three days Barb and I decided that we would be
no worse off birding than lying around the house.
Saturday the 8th we headed out on a short excursion to see how we would
fair before setting out on a longer trip.
Thirty seven species were observed with the highlights being:

Marina Drive Overview:

Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Dunlin - 35
Northern Harrier - 1 (the harrier found an injured Ring-billed Gull that was
in obvious distress and summarily dispatched it. We were able to get some
photos of the end result)

Moses Lake Community Park:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1
HARRIS'S SPARROW - 1 (This bird was seen some time ago by David Beaudette
and finally located after many searches).

Moses Lake Spillway/Sand Dunes Road:

Bonaparte's Gull - 1
Sharp-shinned Hawk - 1

All in all we did OK considering the flu, and had an enjoyable afternoon.
