I don't know how many of you know about the Internet Field Guide to
Birds from the BioDiversity Institute:

http://bdi.org/Birdkey/BirdFrameset.cfm.

Seems to be a worthwhile resource.

Another resource that is being developed is the Internet Bird Collection:

http://linux5.serveisweb.com/ibc/.

It seems to have lots of videos. I didn't spend much time exploring
either of these sites, but I assume such exploration would be
worthwhile.

I guess there is no end in sight for the proliferation of sites about
birds on the internet; eventually we can all just sit at our
computers with our favorite beverage and practice virtual birding.
Let the storm rage outside!
