Warren Current had V-g Swallows in far northeastern WA on March 2, so they
must be slipping past observers in the lower Columbia Basin somehow! Also
Dave Beaudette had some March 10 in Wenatchee. In 2002 we had them in late
February along the Snake R. on the Idaho/WA border (that was exceptionally
early for our area). I believe they move and spread out through Columbia R.
drainage in March well before spreading to higher elevations and perhaps
even up into the Puget Sound area.
