Dear Tweeters,

After the mid-winter occurrences of Swallows (mainly BASW) petered, I did not see any for a while in Skagit County. Yesterday there were around four swallow species flying around the hills above Lyman; I had bad light and could get no ID's, but suspected VGSW. These were the first "upriver" swallows of the year for me--although Lyman barely qualifies as upriver, speaking as a refugee from the gloom of Concrete.

Later on Sunday, I also saw a couple of Tree Swallows on Butler Flats. They're here, all right.

Yours truly,

Gary Bletsch
