Actually, my first choice was Red Crossbill, but not in
a bush (implying low to the ground).

I think a House Wren in Port Townsend would be a big deal
any time of year, but seems especially problematic if this
bird was recorded in February or March (recording date?)

At any rate, I have posted sonograms of House Wren, Winter
Wren and the mystery bird at:

Keep in mind that the recording has cut off all frequencies
above 4kHz, it's missing the full spectrum for either
candidate...
