Hi All,
We have just gotten back into our house after a 3 month major remodel, and
finally had my niece and her daughter, Wendy over. Wendy is 9 and has a
Magnificent Obsession with birds, but no binoculars.
I am looking for a pair of good used ones for her, she is tiny and wears
rather thick glasses) and hopefully her mom, but my great-niece is the
priority, altho they both love birds.
Wendy even spent most of the evening helping me unpack my bird books, and
getting information on her article for school about Snowy Owls, (owls are
her favorite bird, hmmm) and proclaimed it was the most fun she has had,
since her family transferred to Fort Lewis!
Since the dad is on duty, it would be nice to be able to take them out to
some local spots, and maybe even Fort Lewis, if we can get permission. Does
anyone have information on that? If we could get in, I don't remember where
to go, it has been too long and I have only been twice with others when I
DID go.
Any help on binos or information on where to purchase some good used ones
would be helpful.
