Hi, Tweets
I had to give a program in Ferndale yesterday and was sure I would see my
first turkey vulture of the year, but no. The many redtails and a few bald
eagles along the way were enjoying the blustery winds and occasional
sunshine. Between the Headquarters and the new snow goose reserve on Fir
Island there were quite a few swans, mostly trumpeters.
Today, while doing the crow count I saw a swirling flock of ca. 200
violet-green swallows behind Husky Stadium at the lake's edge. They were
there for about two minutes and then gone.
Cheers, Diann
