We were down at our place in Rockaway Beach this weekend, and would like to
report that we had at least two rufous hummingbirds there; both a male and a
female. I still have not seen any rufous hummingbirds at our home in
Seattle, WA although when I was here on Thursday, I counted at least 5
Anna's including at least 2 males and two females.

Heard a wrentit along the coastal trees along Washington St in Rockaway
Beach on Sunday morning.

I saw my first TV of the year along Fraser River Road in Tillamook County on
Saturday late afternoon.

Saw at least 20 Great Egrets near Fenk Rd in Tillamook County Saturday
afternoon.

Saw two Western Grebes at Three Graces in Garibaldi on Saturday.

Saw around a dozen seals hauled out on the Nehalem Spit sunning around 2pm
today.

Saw numerous VG Swallows throughout Tillamook, Clatsop, and Pacific Counties
on Saturday and Sunday.

Saw a male Cinnamon Teal along Wireless Rd on Sunday mid-afternoon.

Along Bay Center Dike Road in Pacific County, saw at least two common loons
in almost complete breeding plumage as well as a Eurasian Widgeon on Sunday
late afternoon.

Encountered two different herds of elk in Pacific County around 17 along 101
around MP 52-53 and another herd along MP 66.

Good Birding,
