Hello Again,
Today, 24 March MerryLynn and I birded our first day of spring break away in western Walla Walla County. Highlights are:

1. Eurasian Wigeon----2 males at the Iowa Beef slop ponds

2. Dunlin----300+ out on the Walla Walla River delta

3. Fox Sparrow----1 bird at the Wallula WMU 2.1 miles east of Madam Dorion Park, off North Shore Dr.

4. White-throated Sparrow----1 ad. 2.1 east of Madam Dorion Park.

5. NORTHERN GOSHAWK----1 sub. ad. over the Wallula WMU 2.1 miles east of Madam Dorion. unexpected

6. Long-billed Curlew-----2 birds south of Touchet

7. Barn Owl----1 at Fish Hook Park

8. Great Horned Owl-----6 different nesting birds scattered along our route.

9. Greater White-fronted Geese-----500+ AT MP300 along HWY12

10. Say' Phoebe----2 birds along route
Well that is it for now. Clear sunny and 55 degrees!
