I have had a number in the past year, but my favorite was in Quivera
Wildlife Refuge, south of Cheyenne Bottoms,Kansas.
At the great salt marsh in mid July I had Tri-colored Heron(rare in
Kansas, and lifer) and a Snowy Egret, in my scope. It is nice to remember
such things since I haven't had time for any hard core birding since then!
