My story is a bait and switch -- a few years ago I was admiring a peregrine
perched in a tree near Padilla Bay when all of a sudden it turned into a
mature bald eagle -- I yanked my binoculars down fast enough to see the
displaced peregrine darting indignantly away. Must've been something
special about that branch!

Hi Tweets,

I'll show my hand..... three of a kind (Nuthatches that is). About 5 years
ago
while on a winter trip to the Okanogan Highlands I had a Red-breasted, a
White-
breasted and a Pygmy Nuthatch all in my bins at once. Pretty cool.
