I've got two of these. Was out at Padilla Bay in February and our group got
to see a Peregrine Falcon perched on a piece of drift wood directly above an
immature Bald Eagle. Made for a wonderful look.


Also, last year I went for a walk through Shoreview Park while on a break
between classes at Shoreline CC. Heard a White-crown Sparrow, and when I
looked, I saw the White-crowned next to a Golden-crown Sparrow, about 25
feet away through my bins. I started messing with the focus and realized
that only 10 feet away on the same line was a quite, perched Song Sparrow. I
could get one or the two in focus, but not all 3, even though all were in my
bin's field of view. Kinda cool actually.

mature bald eagle -- I yanked my binoculars down fast enough to see the
displaced peregrine darting indignantly away. Must've been something
special about that branch!

I'll show my hand..... three of a kind (Nuthatches that is). About 5 years
ago
while on a winter trip to the Okanogan Highlands I had a Red-breasted, a
White-
breasted and a Pygmy Nuthatch all in my bins at once. Pretty cool.
