Subject: Deschutes Dippers, anyone?

This note is for people who have birded around the Olympia area. Someone
told me once that Dippers have been seen in the Deschutes River where it
tumbles down past the brewery and into Capitol Lake. Does anyone know about
this? I was there for a short time this morning and, of course, didn't see
any. (Hardly a bird in sight, really.) The water is terribly fast and
rough much of the way, but I could imagine Dippers feeding happily in some
spots.
