Yesterday while birding parts of the North Kitsap Penninsula along
with my wife Pipper and Bob and Jo Norton of Port Angles, we encountered 2
Violet-greens over the lighthouse at Point-No-Point. These are the first for
me locally, as I have not seen any as yet over Bainbridge Is. The rest of
the day was slow birdwise but we helped a birding couple from Idaho by
showing them a Pigeon Guillemot and a pair Rhinoceros Auklets, both lifers
for them!! It made our day.
