The featured bird is BLACK SWIFT.

Sightings for Friday, May 2nd

The first BLACK SWIFT of the year was observed near Fleetwood Park in
Surrey.

At Blackie Spit were 3 MARBLED GODWITS, 5 WHIMBREL, 3 CASPIAN TERNS AND 1
MERLIN.

Sightings for Thursday, May 1st

On the evening rising hightide were 2 MARBLED GODWITS amongst hundreds of
shorebirds in Boundary Bay off the foot of 96th St.

At the base of the Roberts Bank Jetty was 1 WHIMBREL.

Sightings for Wednesday, April 30

The male SNOWY PLOVER was again reported near the base of the Roberts Bank
Jetty from the south side both on the morning hightide and in the evening.
It was flushed by a Harrier at 5:30pm and has not been seen since.

At the foot of 88th St in Boundary Bay was an adult breeding plumaged
PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER.

At Blackie Spit were 4 WHIMBREL, 3 MARBLED GODWIT and 3 PURPLE MARTINS
