Yesterday am saw a pair of Wilson's Warblers at Martha Washington Park. They
were foraging in the thicket under the oak trees facing Lake Washington.

I discovered Martha Washington last fall and have been visiting regularly.
It's on an east facing slope, with a large open grassy area above and paths
down through a narrow strip of cottonwood/alder/oak/madrona to the lake.
There are vestiges of an old orchard in the field.

I almost always find something of interest there. A caveat: I'm delighted by
the regulars. An hour watching foraging Bushtits, kinglets, Bewick's Wrens,
chickadees and a dive-bombing Anna's Hummingbird makes me happy. Add a
Red-necked Grebe, a sharpy and the neighborhood Bald Eagle and I'm very
happy. The Wilson's Warblers were icing on the cake.

Martha Washington Park is at 57th Ave South and South Holly Street.
