This evening around 7:30 pm I was pleased to find 4 martins at the nest
boxes at Shilshole Bay, three adult males and one female. A pair were
entering a gourd on the south end, and two males perched on the pilings.

Five new purple martin gourds are now on pilings near the Ballard Locks,
near the north shore by the railroad bridge. They are readily seen from the
west end of the old Hiram's restaurant, if you stand on the edge of the
slope and look down to the SW.

At 6:30 pm at Jack Block Park on Elliott Bay, I found one adult male perched
on the razor wire to the south of the boxes and gourds. I saw none at
Herring's House Park or at Terminal 105.

At Picnic Point Kris Baker and I fixed some of the ten boxes and gourds, but
saw no martins during the low tide around 1 pm.
