Hi Tweeters,
We had our first male Black-headed Grosbeak at our feeders yesterday. The
exact same date as last year.
Our yard has seen less activity at the feeders too. Could it be from the
general bird population focusing on building nests? I seem to remember last
year the same slow down in feeder activity.
One another note, has anyone gone out to Iverson Spit on Camano Island? This
is an area that has been designated an "Important Birding Area" by Audubon.
I went over to check last week. What a great spot! I had the best views of
Horned Grebes in breeding plumage ever.
Happily birding,
