Dee and I continued from Maryhill to the WallaWalla Delta area after leaving
the WOS trip which Wilson posted about. Along Rt 14 we encountered 5 Turkey
Vultures around milepost 129 and several Magpies and mourning doves. Near
the Umatilla NOR re saw 2 mule deer. We reached Umatilla, OR around 8pm.

This morning we birded Rt 730 in Oregon heading to the Walla Walla River
Delta. Along the way we encountered:

Black-billed Magpies
Merlin (Wildlife wetland restoration area)
Mourning Doves
Red-winged Blackbirds

At Hat Rock State Park (extremely beautiful area) - our first time there.

A great birding weekend. We hardly hit any rain...just a very few sprinkles
until this evening when it rained like the dickens as we left Cle Elum over
the pass.
