Last night about 8pm from Herring's House Park I spotted an adult male
purple martin on pilings at the north/north west end of Kellogg Island, the
first I've seen on the river this season. As it got dark I saw the martin
enter one of the gourds. Rich Siegrist has four boxes on the pilings, and
recently Jean Power and I added two natural gourds.
