Monday, May 5, 2003, 10:13 p.m. Hi, Robin Miller, (206) 297-1976, reporting that there are actually two SOLITARY SANDPIPERS at Montlake Fill. Was watching one yesterday bobbing and feeding when a second bird walked up to it and they flew off together calling, and went back this evening and had them both in clear view at the same time feeding at opposite ends of the pond. So not the first pond, but if you take a left there the second muddy pond where the path bends around to then follow the bay. Also, yesterday, a small mixed flock of WESTERN and LEAST SANDPIPERS within the mud across the path from the first pond, and a BALD EAGLE and a PEREGRINE FALCON. That's it. Good luck and good birding.

Tuesday, May 6, 2003, 7:33 a.m. This is Vic Nelson. This morning at Point-No-Point at the northeast tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, I had a PALM WARBLER in front of my house. It was feeding on the beach and also along the old dock either in the elderberries or along the ground. Thank you. Good-bye.

Wednesday, May 7, 2003, 9:52 a.m. This is Rachel Lawson, BirdBox System Administrator. At about 7:20 this morning, Wednesday, May 7, Vic Nelson called to report that at Point-No-Point there is a BRIDLED TITMOUSE. He says that the bird is behind the lighthouse. It's missing its retrices and may be an escapee, but it is definitely there. That's it. Good birding.

Wednesday, May 7, 2003, 10:35 a.m. Yes, this is Vic Nelson at Point-No-Point, to give an update on the BRIDLED TITMOUSE I saw. Unfortunately, the last time I saw it was about 7:45 to 8:00 o'clock, and several people searched for it from 8:00 o'clock on until just shortly awhile ago, whatever time it is now, and could not relocate it. So, I don't know if it's still in the area or if it's moved on. There also were two WESTERN KINGBIRDS at the Point this morning. So, that's all I know at this point. Thank you. Good-bye.
