Since I haven't seen any mention of them, though I probably missed a
post, I noted the first Vaux's Swifts over my yard in NE Seattle on
5/1 (they are Capistranoesque in their arrival right around May Day
every year), and there is a Western Tanager "singing" outside as I
type (5/12). Also, for those other Band-tailed Pigeon fans who might
remember my concern about them some months back, they have returned
and are cooing away up in the cedar boughs. Life is good again!
