Had a western tanager at the pond in the yard tonight. I had a hose in my hand and when I saw the bright breeding plumaged male I dropped the hose to get my wife, to see the bird, and I wet my pants between my legs with the splashing water. As I entered the house yelling for my wife she came running in to the room I was in and said "what happened" I told her I saw a male tanager at the pond and I wanted her to see it. She then asked what happened to my pants and I claimed that I got so excited over the tanager that I wet my pants. She turned around leaving the room stating something about my addiction to those #*&%# birds. My daughter happened to be saying good bye to her boy friend at the front door and overheard. He asked my daughter "did he really wet his pants?". AND so go's it at our house.
I also had a western wood-pewee and a Pacific-sloped flycatcher as well.
