On 11 May at the Walla Walla River Delta in western Walla Walla Co, WA, Mike
and MerryLynn Denny observed 4 MARBLED GODWITS, 3 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, 6
SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 12 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 9 WESTERN
SANDPIPERS, 29 AMERICAN AVOCETS, 2 BLACK-NECKED STILTS, 4 FORSTER'S TERNS,
and 42 CASPIAN TERNS. The delta can be accessed 0.1 mile north of Madame
Dorian Park, just north of the junction of US 12 and US 730. There's a
pull-out along US 12 at milepost 306.9 and a path to the delta. WA DeLorme
40, D-1.

On 11 May I found a pair of HARLEQUIN DUCKS on the Deary, Latah Co, ID
sewage ponds, for what is likely the first county record for this species.
The ponds are at the intersection of ID 9 and ID 8 just west of Deary. ID
DeLorme 58, B-2.
