Hi Dennis & Tweeters:

On May 15, 1982, I encountered several pure flocks of 15-20 tanagers each a
long a small valley near Kamloops. I experienced a similar movement on May
19 several years later, and again, just tanagers in the flock. Yes, movement
was fairly rapid through the areas.

Yesterday, there was a fair movement of tanagers happening near Kamloops,
but most that I saw were mixed loosely with Yellow-rumped Warblers, Yellow
Warblers, Wilson's Warblers, Orange-crowned Warblers, White-crowned Sparrows
and even a W Pewee.

I can't answer your questions Dennis, but can echo the marvelous experience.
