The Pentagon is using conflict in the Middle East as
an excuse to secure permanent exemptions from environmental
laws - even though no evidence exists that environmental
laws hinder military readiness. Please do as I did
and send a message to Congress opposing blanket military
exemptions from environmental laws. No one, not even
the government, is above the law.

This is not a political message. It is a message to
protect the birds that bring us together on this e-mail
list. They have never been more at risk.
