The following birds were observed by Wayne Weber at Point Roberts,
Washington between about 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on May 19, 2003.

The tide was very low during most of my visit (low 1.0 feet at 2:45
PM), with many rocks and gravel bars exposed off Lily Point.

Areas visited included Lily Point, Pauls Road, South Beach, and the
west end of Gulf Road.

Noteworthy birds included two PARASITIC JAEGERS, rarely seen in
spring (but regular in fall), and a late feeding flock off PACIFIC
LOONS off South Beach. The latter was accompanied by at least 100
unidentified cormorants-- probably DOUBLE-CRESTED, but may have
included some BRANDT'S.

Mammals seen included 37 HARBOR SEALS, hauled out on rocks off Lily
Point (a high count, because of the very low tide) and one DOUGLAS
SQUIRREL heard near Lily Point.
