Subject: Tacoma tanagers again

Here I am back in Tacoma after a day's absence. The courtyard of the
building has even more tanagers than it did on Monday. I can't look
out without seeing one or more flying from tree to tree, sometimes 2
or 3 at once. I estimate there may be as many as 30-40 in the grove
of trees that surround this large building. I haven't seen any other
migrants during intermittent observations. Sex ratio seems about
even. This is quite an amazing phenomenon. I saw no tanagers at all
from my yard in Seattle yesterday but did see my first Black-headed
Grosbeak for the yard this year.
