Monday, May 12, 2003, 2:55 p.m. Hi, it is May 12th. This is Rebecca
Evans at the Audubon Center, in the nature shop, excuse me. I had a
woman call in, and I'm sorry I did not get her name, reporting a male
WESTERN TANAGER near the White Center neighborhood. The intersection
she mentioned was Roxbury and Cambridge. She said it was in the
neighborhood and she saw it this morning. Thank you very much.

Friday, May 16, 2003, 6:39 p.m. This Alan Grenon in Seattle. At about
6:00 p.m. this evening I saw a SCRUB JAY on 14th Avenue, just north of
Cherry Street. My phone number is 709-7435.

Monday, May 19, 2003, 6:40 p.m. Hi, this is Greg Toffic, and this
morning I birded in Snohomish and Monroe area, and there were two
WHIMBREL on the Marsh Road, southwest of the town of Snohomish, in a hay
field. And in Monroe at the pond that's along Fryelands Boulevard,
southwest of the pond along the telephone lines, there was a WESTERN
KINGBIRD. But this is in the same location that, I'm not sure whether
last year or the year before there were nesting WESTERN KINGBIRDS, so
maybe they'll nest again this year.

Tuesday, May 20, 2003, 4:43 p.m. John O'Connell, 299-4375. At 9:50
a.m. on Camano Island, three miles west of Stanwood, at the intersection
of Rekdal and Utsalady Road, and there were 37 WHIMBREL in a field in
the southwest corner. Thanks.

Wednesday, May 21, 2003, 2:12 p.m. This is Rachel Lawson at (206)
282-5593. Today, Wednesday, May 21st, Marilyn Bilberger and I were at
Discovery Park in Seattle, and we saw one LAZULI BUNTING. This bird was
on the south bluff, just where the loop trail pops out of the woods on
to the bluff. We also saw one WESTERN WOOD-PEWEE also on the loop trail
near where the loop trail crosses the beginning of the Hidden Valley
trail. That's it. Good birding.
