News from Arlington........
After a spring of increasing feeder activity, but mostly the usual
suspects, we had a couple of uncommon visitors this weekend.
Yesterday afternoon a pair of Evening Grosbeak (or is that grosbeaks?)
visited, and then this morning we had a pair of Red Crossbill (or is
that crossbills?)
We have had both species before, but the grosbeak are generally migrant
visitors. The crossbill were here for most of one summer, but that has
been several years ago.
