A Brown Pelican visited the Ketchikan area over the long weekend. I saw
it yesterday sitting on the float at Clover Pass Resort, on the north
end of our road system. There were unconfirmed rumors of a second
pelican that left the area after being harrassed by a Bald Eagle.
