It's a true tome at 5 lb 4 oz, and is filled with all sorts of stuff that
will daunt all but the most diligent readers, but it seems competent and
complete. It has range maps that are hard to read, and depressingly few
pictures -- in this age of digital photography one would have wished for
more. But this will doubtless be the standard work on Oregon birds for the
next generation.
