I could use some advice, the sooner the better, please.

There are five little ducklings whose Momma Mallard has disappeared. We feel
sure that sometime during the night, something happened to her. This Momma was
the absolute best brooder, keeping these little guys in line and defending
them from everything. We have not seen her since yesterday, so we feel she is
either seriously injured, or dead.

So now, there are five scared little ducks paddling around outside. The lake
is big, and predators are everywhere. There is no way they will survive
without Momma.

What should we do? Let nature take it's course? Capture them? Then what?
