Saturday, October 18, 9:16 PM. This is Rachel Lawson, at (206) 282-5593.
Today, on a Seattle Audubon bird walk at Discovery Park in Seattle, Lee Barnes
spotted a PARASITIC JAEGER sitting on the water off of the south bluff. It was
pretty far from shore so you'd need a scope to see it. That's it. Good birding.

Sunday, October 19, 11:01 AM. Hi, this is Barry Levine, (206) 456-8676,
reporting on a trip taken to BC yesterday with Jack Stevens. At Boundary Bay, near
the mansion, which is off of 96th Street, we had 1 STILT SANDPIPER and 1 dark
morph GYRFALCON. On 41 Bay, which runs between Roberts Bank and Ladner, in a
wet field there were 2 RED KNOTS. That's it. Good luck and good birding.

Wednesday, October 22, 5:28 PM. Hello, this is Brad Waggoner, (206) 780-9581.
I'd like to report a ROCK WREN at Fay Bainbridge State Park on Bainbridge
Island seen today originally by myself at 1:30 today, and again seen at 4:30 or
so by, also George Gerdts, Doug Watkins and Ian Paulson. The ROCK WREN was
spending time on the beach logs to the east of a shelter that you find at Fay
Bainbridge Park after you have driven into the parking area, but it was working
the beach logs along the water. Fay Bainbridge can be found on the far northeast
side of Bainbridge Island by driving Sunrise Drive, and there are signs off
the highway to Fay Bainbridge State Park. Good luck and good birding.

Thursday, October 23, 9:41 AM. Yes, hello. This is Brad Waggoner, 780-9581.
Just a follow up report on the ROCK WREN at Fay Bainbridge State Park on
Bainbridge Island. It was again there this morning at 8:30 where it was working the
beach logs along the beach at the park. So if anybody is interested it's still
there. Talk to you later.

Thursday, October 23, 2:53 PM. This is Stewart Wexler, (206) 932-7225. This
morning about 9:30 AM, I was surprised to see 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS in West
Seattle, just above the forested green belt on a narrow cleared area, roughly
cleared, where 37th Avenue SW deadends three blocks north of Admiral Way.

Friday, October 24, 2:44 PM. This is Catherine Geager (sp?). I sighted a
MANDARIN DUCK mixed among MALLARDS on Bitter Lake. Happy Birding.

Saturday, October 25, 5:25 PM. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow, for October 25th.
Today Dennis Duffy and I had 5 CATTLE EGRETS near Sylvana. Take Pioneer
Highway north from Sylvana making a left turn and head west on Norman Road. The
birds were on the north side of the road, a quarter to half mile down, in a field
with some black & white cows. In the area there was also a YELLOW HEADED
BLACKBIRD. That's it. Good luck and good birding.

Tuesday, October 28, 11:59 AM. This is Cynthia Fabian, 760-1436, area code
206. This morning at 10:30 at the corner of Cherry and 14th Avenue in Seattle,
near the Seattle University soccer field, there was a BLUE JAY.

Tuesday, October 28, 8:27 PM. This is Rachel Lawson, (206) 282-5593. The
HUDSONIAN GODWIT first reported at the Tokeland Marina on Sunday was still there
as of this afternoon. It was roosting with a large flock of MARBLED GODWITS at
high tide on one of the docks quite close to the road. That's it. good birding.
