Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday November 6. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On November 3 a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was in very cold Enterprise. A
BROAD-WINGED HAWK was at Frenchglen November 1. The YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER
continues to be seen there.

Very heavy migrations continue along the coast with unusually high numbers
of FULMARS passing southward; a major die-off is becoming evident. RED
PHALAROPES continue to be seen onshore and in the estuaries and BONAPARTE?S
GULLS are conspicuous. TUNDRA and TRUMPETER SWANS are now arriving and SWAMP
SPARROWS were reported from Coos Bay and the Fernhill Wetlands.

On October 30 a GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE was seen in Brookings. On November 1
four PALM WARBLERS, 5 LAPLAND LONGSPURS, 18 EARED GREBES, and 600 PIPITS
were on the North Spit of Coos Bay. On November 5 a BURROWING OWL was on the
beach south of Waldport. A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was off Boiler Bay October 30..
A FRANKLIN?S GULL was there November 3.

A probable TROPICAL KINGBIRD was at Tillamook Bay November 1. Two
LONG-TAILED DUCKS were off Fort Stevens State Park November 2. A SNOW
BUNTING was at the South Jetty of the Columbia River November 1. The two
PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVERS and the lone LAPLAND LONGSPUR continue to be seen
there.

On November 3 two SNOW BUNTINGS were along the Columbia River near the
Portland Airport. Four were at the longspur field south of Kelly Point Park
in North Portland November 5. Two BARROW?S GOLDENEYE are now at the Fernhill
Wetlands. Late BARN and CLIFF SWALLOWS were there November 1.

Two GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES were on Marys Peak November 2. A RED PHALAROPE
was at Fern Ridge Reservoir October 30. A SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER was there
November 4. A PALM WARBLER is now being seen there.

TREE SPARROWS are now back in the Grande Ronde Valley. On November 3 a
RED-BREASTED MERGANSER was on the LaGrande Sewage Ponds.
