I've had a couple of interesting visitors in our yard
the last couple of days. Perhaps, this will be a good
year for the new yard birds.

On Thursday (11/6/03), a Bewick's Wren was picking up
goodies along our backyard rock wall. This is only the
second time that I have seen this species on our
property.

At dusk today, I spied a small owl perched in the
aspen grove within our circle driveway. Sure enough,
it turned out to be a Northern Pygmy Owl.

I'm still hoping to add American Tree Sparrow &
Bohemian Waxwing to our yard list this winter too. We
will see!
