Were the ones that disappeared banded and/or have their toe webbing clipped?

I've contacted about 40 breeders in the last few days and have had very interesting responses. Seems there's a few breeders that have pinkfeet in the west (and a few more in the east). One is even in Everett. Some in B.C. Here's one response:

I was talking to a friend of mine (who has pink-footed geese). My friend did have some disappear a while ago so they could be the ones that you have in your area. If you have any chance of catching them, i'm sure he would appreciate getting them back. He would probably also pay you for bringing them back.
