Had a couple hours at mid-day today to look for birds on Fir I. in Skagit
County. I'd hoped to relocate the Vesper Sparrow & Cassin's Finch reported
by Colin Thoreen et al, but was unsuccessful. Notable birds that were
present at the Hayden (Snow Goose) Preserve, however, included:

Harlan's (Red-tailed) Hawk 1
SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER 1 (Hayden/Snow Goose Preserve, late)
Long-billed Dowitcher 10
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER 1 (Hayden/Snow Goose, latest ever for Skagit Co)
Am. Pipit 2
White-throated Sparrow 1, Cedar Waxwing 1 (Skagit WMA main access, Wiley Rd)
