The following birds were seen by Wayne Weber at the Lummi Flats, NW
of Bellingham, WA between 3:30 and 5:00 PM on November 11, 2003.
Areas birded were mainly along Hillaire Road, Kwina Road, and North
Red River Road.

A good assortment of raptors was seen, including 7 RED-TAILED HAWKS,
4 SHORT-EARED OWLS, 3 NORTHERN HARRIERS, and one BALD EAGLE.
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were probably present but not seen, and 2 GREAT
HORNED OWLS were heard. Notable was a flock of at least 30 WESTERN
MEADOWLARKS which landed in a field near the intersection of Hillaire
and Kwina Roads.

At least 5 PACIFIC TREE-FROGS were heard calling at various points.
